The Inc. 5000 measures three-year revenue growth. Every company on the list submits verified financials, and the ranking reflects real numbers rather than reputation or marketing spend. Roughly one in a thousand American companies makes the cut in any given year.

What a Number Like This Actually Measures
Growth in the service business follows a simple chain. A crew does excellent work on a property. The property manager notices. That manager calls again, then mentions us to a colleague who manages four more buildings across the East Bay. Multiply that pattern across several years and you land on a list like this one.
Nothing about that chain is glamorous. It runs on early mornings, correct equipment, trained technicians, and a standard that holds whether the client watches the job or not.
We have turned down work that we could not staff properly. We have replaced equipment before it failed rather than after. We have kept crews on payroll through slow winter weeks so that the same faces show up in spring. Those decisions cost money in the short term and built the company in the long term.
The Work Behind the Ranking
Professional Powerwashing & Maintenance started with a truck, a trailer, and a willingness to outwork the competition. Today we serve three distinct client groups across the Bay Area.
Commercial properties. Office parks, retail centers, medical buildings, industrial facilities, and multifamily communities. Our commercial division handles scheduled maintenance programs that keep exteriors, walkways, parking structures, and dumpster areas presentable year round.
HOAs and property management companies. Community associations need consistency and documentation. We provide both, including scheduled service calendars, before and after documentation, and single points of contact who answer the phone.
Homeowners. Our HomeGuard membership program gives residential clients scheduled exterior care at a predictable cost, which prevents the slow buildup that turns a routine wash into a restoration project.
Across all three groups, the service list stays the same: pressure washing, soft washing, roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, window cleaning, concrete cleaning, and graffiti removal.
Who Earned This
Our crews earned it. They handle 100-degree summer days on black asphalt and 40-degree winter mornings on wet concrete. They protect landscaping, respect tenants, and clean up after themselves. Clients tell us about that last part more than anything else.
Our office team earned it. They answer calls, schedule routes, chase down certificates of insurance, and solve problems before clients hear about them.
Our clients earned it. Property managers who took a chance on a smaller company. Homeowners who left reviews. Business owners who referred a neighbor. A local service company grows on trust, and trust arrives one job at a time.
What Happens Next
The ranking changes nothing about how we operate. Same standard, same crews, same phone number.
It does change what we can take on. Growth funds better equipment, deeper training, and expanded coverage across Contra Costa, Alameda, and Solano counties. It lets us staff larger commercial contracts without stretching quality. It gives our team a career path rather than a job.
We plan to be on this list again.
