Where it started
One pressure washer, one vehicle, no investors
Professional Powerwashing & Maintenance started in 2014 with a single pressure washer, one vehicle, and no team. Brandon Cody Sr. did every job himself: the sales calls, the estimates, the cleanings, the follow-ups. The first year ran out of a garage on a clipboard and handwritten schedules.
The jobs nobody else wanted came first. Moss-covered roofs. Deep-grease driveways. Neglected commercial lots. Those jobs taught the technical craft that still separates us: surface-specific technique for brick, concrete, stucco, vinyl, and asphalt, correct chemical dilution ratios, water pressure calibration, and how to apply surfactants so results actually last.
Before power washing, Brandon worked as a journeyman scaffold builder, where following procedure exactly was the difference between a safe site and a serious accident. That same discipline became the operating standard here.
Between 2014 and 2019 that meant thousands of jobs completed personally across the East Bay, from single-family homes to multi-unit HOAs and Class A retail properties. Every successful project was documented, and those records became the standard operating procedures we train new technicians on today.
By 2020 we were running a crew and two trucks across Danville, Dublin, Walnut Creek, Alamo, Lafayette, and Pleasanton. In 2025 we earned Diamond Certified status, the first exterior cleaning company in San Ramon to do so. In 2026 we launched the HomeGuard Maintenance Membership.

Brandon founded the company in 2014 and spent its first five years in the field, personally completing thousands of jobs across the East Bay. A former journeyman scaffold builder, he brought a procedure-first safety discipline to every service we run. He developed our soft washing approach using biodegradable, non-caustic cleansers, and wrote the SOPs our technicians train on today. He is the author of The Resilient Entrepreneur.

Anyone can rent a machine and point it at a wall. What separates a lasting result from an expensive mistake is knowing what each surface can take, what chemistry the organism responds to, and what the manufacturer warranty allows.
Surface-specific method, not one setting
Brick, concrete, stucco, vinyl, asphalt, cedar, and tile each behave differently under pressure and chemistry. We calibrate water pressure and dilution ratios per surface, and we apply surfactants that extend how long the result holds.
